Kidzcare run several types of service. We manage traditional in-school after school clubs which provide a facility for the pupils of a particular school. These run in school premises once school has closed for the day and usually during holidays. An example of this would be St Crispin’s school for children with Special Needs which is based in Edinburgh.
We also have “standalone” or “independent” out of school clubs, which provide childcare to a number of local schools in an area. In these clubs, we collect from all of the local schools and also offer a drop-off service in the evening where children can be brought back to their house, for a small extra charge. An example of this service can be found at Cluny Centre in Edinburgh which collects from 6 schools in the community.
In both cases, we run activity camps and traditional play schemes throughout the school holidays and on in-service & public holidays. Our aim, in every club, is to remain open for 51 weeks of the year where circumstances permit.
During term-time we also run breakfast clubs, which provide childcare before schools open in the morning. Children can be dropped off from 7.45am, and are then fed, if required, suitably entertained, and then fully escorted to their respective schools for opening time.
At every facility, you can expect us to demonstrate the same approach to quality, care and professionalism with regard to your children. Our centre managers and local play workers have been trained centrally by our senior in-house staff and have taken part in the same vocational training as outlined in the section “What do we expect from our team”.
